GoPro cameras are great for mounting on people and things in ways you can't with traditional cameras. However, the design also makes them tricky to use as more than a point-of-view camera.

The iOgrapher Go solves this by giving you a way to mount a GoPro onto a frame between two large handgrips made out of strong, lightweight polycarbonate plastic.

At the center of the Go is a shoe mount that can be used with a GoPro or any other small camera that will fit within the area. There are three additional accessory shoes across the top to attach a mic, panel light or an external display or mobile device.

The two grips make it steadier for handheld shooting, or you can use the 1/4-20 mount on the bottom to put it on a tripod. That's basically all there is to it.

The iOgrapher Go is on Kickstarter for $40 and has met its fundraising goal (that converts to about £25 and AU$55). Once it hits retail, it's expected to be priced at $70 (approximately £45 and AU$95). It's expected to ship in December to backers.

Before you buy, though, you might want to check out iOgrapher's similarly designed cases for iPhones and iPads. You can actually use one of those models for shooting handheld with a GoPro too, by attaching the camera to one of iOgrapher's accessory shoes on top while using an iPhone/iPad to monitor and control the camera.
